Everything, from the warm hospitality of the staff to the little details, like the beverages in the fridge & snacks, which were replaced every day. Best location, 2 minutes from Piazza San Marco. Close to the vaporetto station. Affordable restaurants around, even though it is the city center. Quiet room. Modern furniture, exceptional cleaning. Definitely made it one of the best trips ever!!

The hotel is one of the best in its category that I have ever experienced. In the Venice winter it is agreeably warm and the cleanliness is a noteworthy highlight. Its location is extraordinary: situated just a minute away from Piazza San Marco. Opting for a rate that includes the breakfast, you will have a satisfactory meal in the morning to start your day, with a variety of fruits, bread, cheese, “prosciutto”, “salumi” and a choice of cappuccino, macchiatto, hot chocolate or tea. A special mention must be made of Vito. He is the best concierge that you can find in Venice. He knows the best restaurants and will kindly make your reservations. He also has the best tips to enhance your stay and allow you to enjoy your trip in the best way. All the staff is very helpful and gentle, but Vito will make the difference. You can always rely on his assistance.

San Marco’s hallowed halls are a magnet for art lovers, with treasures ranging from Crusade-era bronze horses to a spectacular jewel-encrusted gold altar screen.

Beautiful spot even though we did not realize the face of it would be under construction. Tip: Book your ticket or tour ahead of time... we wanted to go inside but did not plan ahead and time slots were booked same day. The area is also definitely busier on the weekends. We enjoyed taking photos and strolling around much more during the week.

Crowded and the best views blocked by metal barriers and Tarps - one end was scaffolding getting ready for a stage to be built for a concert! - There are never enough seats for people to rest - if you sit at an empty restaurant table, you get asked to move on unless you buy something!

Be there one hour before opening - ideal time to avoid long queue and to queue in bearable temperatures. Take the "full options" visit - the simple tour of the cathedral is nice but you are missing a lot of the most impressive attractions This is a church : mind your clothing (especially, no bare shoulders allowed)
