We had a wonderful time in a beautiful hotel which was in a great location. Our room was fantastic. Breakfast was gorgeous. Staff were so friendly, lovely and helpful. I would highly recommend Corte San Pietro and will definitely stay there again.

This is one of the most unique hotels we have ever stayed in - I would highly recommend Aquatio. You are within 5 minutes walking distance to pretty much anything in Matera and 2-3 minutes walk to the fabulous restaurant Francesca (we dined there twice it was so fantastic). We also used the spa to get a couples massage and my partner used the water therapies. The front desk staff were fantastic before and during our stay - they really helped us to arrange parking, the shuttle to and from the hotel to our parking spot and other requests we had like booking restaurants for us. A true concierge experience! You will thoroughly enjoy your stay. We will be back!

    This is a must do..

    This is a must do.. It gives you an excellent guide to the history of Matera. This should be the first thing a visitor does when visiting Matera. Do this first and you will have a great understanding of where you are. It only cost 6 euros per person and is only about 200 yards from the main cathedral.

    Perfect location on the edge of the old town with convenient parking in street nearby with a meter. Modern apartment with a very comfortable room with hot shower. Vincenzo gave us some useful tips on what to see, especially the film at Casa Noha on the history of Matera, and places to eat. Generous breakfast on site.

    Greeted by Nunzio who guided us to the house via whattsapp - he sent us lots of recommendations via text which were handy, including a great restaurant down in the main square. Apartment is very genuine and atmospheric - go to Casa Noha for evocative videos explaining the town's history. The cave house is unusual but cosy
