The location is amazing: 25 minute drive from airport, 5 minute walk to Duomo, 7 minute walk to leather market, 8 minute walk to Gucci Museum, 10 minute walk to Ponte Vecchio, a 40 minute walk to the top of Pizalle Michelangelo. Also the Davinci Museum is just up the street, just a few minutes walk. There are many cafes, shops, also a grocery store up the street. The hotel itself is beautiful. Nicely decorated. The room was a good size, clean and the bed was really comfortable. I loved how the room was renovated, and they also used antique furniture: bed, pillows, mattress, TV carpet and side tables were new, the wardrobe was vintage/antique which added a nice touch to the decor . The bathroom I love: also a good size, very clean, love the little toiletries they offer, the water pressure of the shower was amazing! The Common areas were nice to sit in. Also nicely decorated with antique furniture and book shelves. The staff were lovely: we felt welcomed, and the staff were always happy to assist us with anything we needed, or with questions we had. Lastly, the breakfast was really good. There were many options to choose from. I personally loved the tiny Nutella jars and jams. Overall a wonderful stay. I plan on returning to Florence and I plan on booking my stay here again.

Stall holders are very pushy and very rude, you can stretch the bargains but be careful they are far more cleverer than what we think. If you think of any customers service then forget that. They will not leave you alone and at the same time very rude.

We loved the upstairs food. Was seriously good and fresh and a wide variety. Local was well represented but also diverse cuisine. The fresh made wontons in duck soup was amazing. Went back three times for lunch.

Surrounded by the “leather hawker tents” of San Lorenzo...

Surrounded by the “leather hawker tents” of San Lorenzo Market Square, this market is a typical tourist trap that is nonetheless a “must see to experience at least once”. One of the largest food courts one will encounter with food court quality food at prices a bit higher than most food courts. However, you will run into people from all over the world inside.
