Siena cathedral is a gem.
Siena cathedral is a gem. It is as beautiful inside as outside. I highly recommend the dome tour if you’ve a head for heights and can manage stairs. The small groups of 15 are led by a guide who will tell you a little about the history of the building during the 30 minute tour.The views of the city are spectacular from the roof . There are examples of the tools and materials used to build the cathedral as well as some of the original architects designs evident on some of the walls.
