Loved the location. The service was impeccable. And the food was sublime and delicious. The hotel was a mix of old and new. Fabulous art and furniture. The staff couldn't do enough and suggested that as the firework festival was taking place that evening..we could have dinner earlier and taxi service would be arranged. We especially loved our private onsen overlooking the bay. Can't wait to return. Only an hour from Tokyo!!

The hotel is walking distance feom the Hakone-Yumoto station and the bus stop to head on the circuit is virtually at the door. The hotel provides traditional clothes to walk around and use the onsen. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. I forgot to pack bandages to cover my small tattoos. The staff found some so I could use the onsen.... we went very early in the morning (jet lag!) and it was very quiet. I'm happy I tried it. It was very clean and comfortable. Felt like a very authentic Japanese experience all in all.

The attention to detail here was perfect. It had all of the essential amenities. It was clean and looked really nice and modern. We travelled as a family of 3 and the space there was perfect. A great location from Hakone-Yumoto station to do the Hakone Loop. There's a lovely restaurant down the road called Daichan. There's also a 7 Eleven across the road.

The staff were so lovely and helpful. The location was super easy to access from Hakone-Yumoto Station, which made it easy to get to and drop our luggage off, well as being a perfect place to go sightseeing from. We had a room with an outdoor bath which was absolutely amazing, especially with the sound of the water running in the river behind the hotel.

Very close to Hakone-Yumoto station. Staff was incredibly friendly and the room was very traditional (for all I know). Onsen was fantastic and there is also a footbath. There is also onsen water in the bathtub. Room was much bigger than what we had in Tokyo and Kyoto. Traditional breakfast is available but we didn't take it

We loved everything about our stay at Senkei. The Japanese style room was spacious, comfortable and attractive with a great mountain view through the large picture window. The staff were all extremely helpful and welcoming. The outdoor spa was incredibly tranquil and relaxing. The indoor spa was also fabulous and a great way to start the day. It was well located just a 10-15 minute walk from Hakone-Yumoto station. We would love to come back for a longer stay.

The location is amazing, in a beautiful place and with a shuttle every 20 min to and from the hakone-yumoto station. The Hotel is very good and the dinner and breakfast buffets are incredible.

The included dinner and breakfast was delicious. The onsen was beautiful and relaxing. The staff were really friendly. There was a shuttle bus available to and from Hakone-Yumoto station. Lots of amenities were available in the lobby.

The apartment is very well situated, 10 minutes walk (the final part quite steep) from Hakone-Yumoto station. The hosts are friendly and welcoming and the apartment is spacious and very well equipped. We enjoyed 2 delicious dinners and a lovely breakfast. The setting is lovely- with great views out towards the surrounding hills.

Wonderful little getaway ryokan. Room was spacious with a lounge and a massage chair. The massage chair was the best after walking all day. The private onsen on the balcony was a delight. The dinner and breakfast meals were amazing and delicious. They had free flowing drinks. There’s also free coffee machine in the lobby plus a free alcohol station on the third floor. The staff were wonderful. There’s also a bus that takes you to the hotel from Hakone-Yumoto station for $2. It’s great when it was raining.
