We were there to visit the Itsukushima shrine and this hotel was at the most convenient place it could be for that purpose, only a few steps from the ferry dock. The private onsen was free of charge and could be booked for 30 minutes. It had a clear view of Itsukushima Shrine and was very beautiful to bathe in at night. The room was spacious and superbly clean.. tatami was really comfortable as well. Staffs at front desk are so welcoming, warm & helpful. The location itself is just amazing. About 8 minutes walk to the ferry pier and also 7 mins walk to the famous Itsukushima Shrine with the floating gate (Torii). I strongly recommend this hotel to everyone.Guest review byReglxtSingapore

(They have a free mini-bus, but I think the walk was better!) Both the traditional Japanese dinner and the breakfast were wonderful, as was the overall atmosphere of the hotel. The rooms not only have beds, but also feature a traditional tatami section, and they even provided Yukatas! Rooms felt like traditional Japanese ryokan. Was clean and staff were friendly. There is shuttle bus that can pick you up from the Miyajima station (had to use the pay phone to contact them which was easy). Onsen is public but was not crowded.
