The temple is very beautiful; the pirate ships are remarkably kitsch. Don't linger till late if you plan on getting the bus back - the queues were substantial, and the prolonged wait required till after dark to finally get conveyed to Hakone-Yumoto station was bordering on a hypothermic episode. Everyone working there is so kind and helpful. We arrived soaking wet from our trip from Tokyo and they offered us towels and tea to sit by the fire and warm up, then kept our bags there until check in time. The breakfast was fabulous, especially enjoying from the view overlooking Lake Ashi in the background.
