Staff were so incredibly friendly and helpful. Rooms are large and clean. Location is perfect (short walk to 2 metro stations) and lot of coffee shops and restaurants nearby. Highly recommend!

I honestly loved everything about the hotel and my choice of the room. The room was really nice and spacious for me (and for Japan overall I think). I was a bit hesitant about the shared bathroom situation at first but my room was essentially in front of the shower/toilet rooms, so it was very convenient to jump right into it. Every time I used the showers they were spotless and seemingly no one used them before, so it means they were getting cleaned really often. Having the sink in the room helped also to brush my teeth, wash hands etc. It was nice that on the 5th floor there was a small laundry room with hot and cold water as well as a fridge where you can leave some food with a note with your name. The staff was super nice and helpful, always greeting me with a smile or wishing me a nice day in the morning. The location was even better than I realized because Temmabashi station has Keihan line running all the way to Kyoto's eastern part (Gion etc.) as well as other stations where you can transfer easily to Uji, for example.

Gorgeous hotel and room. A little higher grade than I normally reserve, but I believe we went during their off season and their prices were extremely reasonable for the stay, so I couldn't pass it up. Impeccably clean, very large, comfortable room, polite and helpful staff. River view room was wonderful to watch the sunsets from. Easily the nicest shower I've ever seen, hotel or otherwise. No real complaints. It was the farthest accomodation to walk to the closest train station we had during out trip, but even that was a pretty walk across the bridge, only maybe about 15 minutes.

    You can take the lift to the 38th floor then use the...

    You can take the lift to the 38th floor then use the escalator up to the viewing level entry without paying. I feel that they will work this out soon & put the payment level on L3 where the lift is. If you want to, you can pay to go up to the outside & get a spectacular 360° view of Osaka. We would have done this but it was raining & our puffer jackets weren’t waterproof.

    There are 2 levels when you get up to the Sky Observatory.

    There are 2 levels when you get up to the Sky Observatory. There is an indoor 39th level and an outdoor 40th level. The topmost level is easy to miss, so do look out for the small staircase leading up to it.

    Visit with view to watch the sunset.

    Visit with view to watch the sunset. There is a nice restaurant on the top and best places are taken by early birds. The roof has an amazing view out towards the sea. The photos usually turn out great. really loved it.

    Large area including the multi level subway system with lots of dining. We got lost here pretty much every time we were at this station. I would seriously avoid staying at this hub if you are new to the whole public transportation system.
