Everything was exceptional. The host went way beyond the normal couldn’t do enough for us. The view from the room was just as good as the photos led you to believe. The breakfast was incredible. Would totally recommend this place!

We booked 2 rooms for 2 nights and wished we could have stayed longer! - outstanding (!!!) breakfast! - incredibly nice host who organizes whatever you wish - very quiet but convenient location. You can walk to Ella main street (3-5 min), ella rock, adams peak, station etc - clean rooms with very comfortable beds and extremely good shower with strong, hot water Highly recommended! Thank you!

What a stunning location and such a friendly and kind family! The rooms are absolutely stunning and the location genuinely unbeatable. You do have to be prepared to walk up and down a large flight of stairs to benefit from that beauty but it is totally worth it. The hosting family were extremely helpful, kind and thoughtful. We would not hesitate to recommend this place to any traveller looking for somewhere off the beaten track!

The Homestay was great! The room was nice and clean and the staff very nice. The owner even drove us at 05.30am to see the sunrise at little adam‘s peak. The breakfast was outstanding!

    Great views best to go to the bar above it some amazing views also easy to get train from Ella till the next station which goes over the bridge we managed to get photos & video hanging outside the door which looked unreal!!!

    Beautiful, but long walk down and up if you are not 100% fit...

    Beautiful, but long walk down and up if you are not 100% fit or a bit older. Tip - get a Tuk Tuk up from where the stairs stop. It’s a premium price but worth it. It’s muddy and slippery if it’s been raining, so don’t risk your ankles or knees.

    The rickshaws shouldn’t charge more than 500rs one way. They stop at a point beyond which it’s a steep descent on stairs and some narrow but safe enough pathways that lead to the bridge. Therefore the walk back is also a steep incline. There are monkeys who mind their business. Or you can choose to walk the entirety of it. It took us 1 hour to go and come back with ampke breaks and a slow pace. My 60+ year old parents with above average to good fitness levels could do it.

    Fairly strenuous walk down to the bridge, which in it's self is a wonderful feat of British engineering and Sri Lankan effort!. However, our anticipation was dampened by the sheer volume of other tourists on the bridge (at least 1000) all waiting and jostling for the best spot to get a photo of the anticipated train. There are far more beautiful and less touristy things to see and do in Sri Lanka than this.

    For me 100/100.

    For me 100/100. Beautiful bridge, fabulous views all around, the road to the viaduct itself leads through a fabulously green forest. Some trains stop on the viaduct, so there is time for a photo session:-))) It is also nice to have a coffee (or Ceylon TEA!!!) in one of the cafes by the viaduct, watching the trains passing by and the wonderful views of the area.

    Best to go for early morning train times as there are less...

    Best to go for early morning train times as there are less people. We went in the afternoon and it was still wonderful. You can walk around 3kms (quite steep though in parts) or you can take a tuk tuk for around 3000 LKR (and they wait for you to return to Ella).
