Had a lovely stay at 7 terraces. It's in a nice location to walk around Georgetown. The room was beautifully restored and had all the facilities you'd need - comfy beds and even a nesspreso machine. There is a nice pool area too. The staff were very helpful when we needed a trip to a doctor. They showed great kindness that was very appreciated. We stayed in one of the apartments with 4 adults- there was a double and 2 single beds (upstairs) it was spacious and comfortable with a nice little roof terrace. Sometimes these kinds of places can feel a little stuffy, but not here. The staff were so friendly. It has a lift to the 2nd floor - but be mindful there are steps here and there due to the age of the property.

The National park is a lovely park and we wanted to walk to...

The National park is a lovely park and we wanted to walk to Monkey beach . A sign said one and a half hours, we are in our sixties but that is well within our capabilities. The path starts off flat , with nice views of the sea and visits by the cheeky little monkeys . The path turned very twisty , we had to climb over boulders, tree trunks and at one time had to slide down on our bottoms down a slope holding on for grim life . We did a terrible time of two and a half hours. Completely exhausted and was so glad to see Monkey beach . This trip is definitely for the fitter and more mobile amongst us. The bar at the beach was a welcome sight & once refreshed , we viewed our options for our return journey. Option 1 wasn’t even considered ( Walking back ). Option two get the little boats back to the fishing village at the National Park entrance or Option three , hire a boat to take us back to our Hotel beach at Batu Ferringhi . For 150 Myr , we choose option three. We wanted to see the National Park but with thr knowledge that we now have , would not have attempted this walk . We can walk for several hours a day but not over this terrain .

Tony’s is a great place to stay near Penang National Park. It’s a very relaxed and chill place, with great facilities & food and very welcoming and friendly hosts. Would highly recommend staying here when visiting Penang and looking forward to visiting again!

My stay was very pleasant. The room was surprisingly clean and the location allowed hikes in the Penang National Park directly from the hotel.
