Amazing experience. Super cool system with check-in and online keys - loved it (never had this anywhere before). Super friendly stuff. Great central location and close to the bus station. Good bonus - got a free update for a king suit with a beautiful view. Super clean and absolutely stunning design. Definitely recommend and will stay here again.

Hardly find hotels where u can cook your own food inside. Golden hotel has mini kitchen with cooking utensils available for you to cook food inside room. Very neat and tidy. Easy check in and check out process. Always prefer to stay here whenever I visited christchurch. Near to airport as well.

The proximity to the airport is a plus, as well as the complimentary shuttle service - even in the middle of the night. Our spacious room surpirised us positively. Breakfast was good and abundant. We had no problems with any airplane noise.

Arrived late into the airport. It's amazing that you can WALK to this hotel. The bed was super comfy. Shower area amazing. My husband wanted to stay more nights! We didn't get the breakfast but it was nice that it was available until 10am. The staff was super helpful. Our phones weren't working so they let us make a phone call to our rental car place.

    We have visited Christchurch Botanical Gardens twice now on...

    We have visited Christchurch Botanical Gardens twice now on two different trips to the area. It is a very large garden with lots of beautiful plants to see and the river makes everything even more beautiful. There is a large car park available so look out for this. On our first visit we didn't realise and struggled to find parking on the street.

    Its location was ideal in a very quiet neighbourhood within walking distance to the CBD, botanical gardens, restaurants and attractions. The apartment itself was very clean, comfortable and warm with a small lawn area out the back and a designated carpark. It had everything available to be able to prepare your meals including an air fryer. The bedrooms and toilet/bathroom were upstairs which would be the only drawback especially for convenience and lugging suitcases up and down the stairs.

    Very welcoming and friendly staff - assisted with information and some support needed while we were there. It was fresh smelling, very clean and we loved what a quiet oasis it was although close to lots of things to do and the CBD. The Botanical Gardens being so close was great as we had our small dog with us.

    Great Location, easy walking distance to bars and restaurants, shops, botanical gardens, and Art Central. Bonus: having a car park. The staff at the OGB were helpful, even though this is a private apartment. Plus, it's a great place to have a drink or something to eat.

    The hotel was conveniently located close to Hagley Park and the Botanical Gardens. For me, it was one of the best spots for a stay—peaceful and not too crowded, yet still close to the main street. There were also restaurants on the ground floor and convenient stores nearby.

    We met the cleaning team on our early arrival who were kindness itself which was much appreciated, as was the cleanliness of the property. You have a good team there! The property is a fabulous place to use as a base as everything is so close; shops, public transport, the botanical gardens and so on.
