The staff were super helpful, the location was fantastic, loved the decor and the vibe. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, the hotel lounge and bar were fabulous. Highly recommended.

    Lovely old funicular railway takes you up to the botanical...

    Lovely old funicular railway takes you up to the botanical gardens and space place observatory. Cafe at the top. I booked a return as my visit was in the evening, but had a wander in the botanical gardens. I would get a ticket to the top station then walk back down through the beautiful gardens.

    So cool, short trip to the top but great ride, views out...

    So cool, short trip to the top but great ride, views out over the cityscape to harbour are outsranding, cafe at top very popular and very busy, Cable Car Museum worth a look, also while you're up there, check out the Planetarium, not to be missed, and if you're into Gardens, take a stroll around the Botanical Gardens while you're there

    A great tourist attraction for Wellington and fun for...

    A great tourist attraction for Wellington and fun for children to go on. Take a ride from Lambton Quay and then walk back down through the Botanical Garden, stop at the Lady Norward Rose Garden and have a coffee at "Picnic" and the walk back to town through the old Bolton Street cemetry which graves of early settlers or wander through Thorndon.

    Easy to get around. Very pleasant city with lovely buildings, streets, seaside walk, views, markets and Botanic Gardens and you can include the Cable Car as part of walking tour!
