    Fascinating place, but exhausting walk.

Fascinating place, but exhausting walk. It comes up on Google maps as a 20 minute walk from the city centre, but this takes no account of the required climb which at least doubles the time. Definitely get a taxi as far as it can take you then just walk the last bit.

We had a truly enjoyable stay at this beautiful and very well-run hotel. Its location is basically as close as you can get to Sacsayhuaman, the Incan fortress which is just above the city on this side. We found it wonderfully convenient both for access to the historic city centre, and to these amazing historical sites just at the city's edge.

The hotel’s location is very convenient. It’s a short walk up to Sacsayhuaman and to the plazas. However, the walls are really thin and you can hear everything around you. I was on the third floor so you can’t hear much from the parties just outside the hotel. The breakfast is nice and the staff is really sweet and helpful.
