Fabulous illuminated bridge at night, one of many with lit up boats on the river. The city can be confusing with lots of waterways and a beach nearby so I advise going full on with the maps apps. I booked into one hotel to be told I was in another - don't expect 5* service from cheap hotels in Vietnam. In the Northern rural region you can hope for very friendly people who do not see many farang. Their salaries are a pittance and jobs are hard to find compared to the West so be generous when you can.
