Not only were the rooms impeccably clean, but we were pleasantly surprised to find warm water—a luxury in the midst of the rainforest. The entire experience felt surreal and truly special, something we know we'll never forget. The staff were incredibly kind and attentive, taking the time to explain everything clearly and ensuring that our every need was met. Their genuine hospitality made us feel right at home. One of the highlights of our stay was the frog tour, which we had the pleasure of experiencing twice—once in rain and once in dry weather. Each time was a unique and magical encounter with Costa Rica's incredible biodiversity. The journey to La Tigra was an adventure in itself, with the scenic drive requiring a 4x4 vehicle and a leisurely pace. But the anticipation of what awaited us at the lodge made it all the more exciting. In conclusion, La Tigra Rainforest Lodge surpassed all our expectations and left us with memories that will last a lifetime. It truly was the most memorable stay of our trip, and we can't wait to return someday.

Surrounded by 860 private acres of tropical rainforest and featuring an on-site lake, a swimming pool, a sun terrace and games room, Arenal Observatory Lodge & Trails is located within the Arenal Conservation Area, only 2.7 km from the Arenal Volcano. We loved the property and the views the terrace offers. The rooms are comfortable and clean, the breakfast good, we enjoyed the swimming pool and jacuzzi, the morning free tour of the property and a run on one of the many trails surrounding the lodge.

The owners were so nice and gave us useful recommendation that only locals know about trips in this area. We really liked the sustainability of this property and that you stay so close to nature there. They really take care of the plants and the animals and also the night walk was fascinating. This property was our favourite stay at our costa rica trip and if we come again we would definitly stay there again.

A patio with garden views is offered in every unit. The view from the property was amazing! It was a bit cloudy sometimes but we could usually see Arenal poking through. The garden is so beautiful, and attracts gorgeous butterflies and hummingbirds. My dad had a great time just sitting on the patio and enjoying the sound of the jungle, watching all the wildlife surrounding the cottage. It was so peaceful and relaxing there. We also found the resident sloth on the road next to the house! The mural on the walls of the house is unbelievably beautiful!! The house was compact but had everything you needed - hot water, wifi, washing machine, AC, fully equalised kitchen, and even a smart TV. We really enjoyed staying there, and the price was great too!
