Place is close to town for meals but has the basic supplies you need for a little self catering when you can’t pull yourself away from the view. Stayed in unit 5 which was incredible.

L’endroit est génial, une tranquillité et une vue à couper le souffle. Comme si le temps s’arrêtait. Le personnel très aimable et discret qui prend grand soin des lieux. Nous avons passé quelques jours très agréables et reposants

L’établissement Little Escape vous accueille à 600 mètres de ce lieu d’intérêt : Plage de Playa Carmen. The location was good near of the beach, restaurants and supermarkets. The house is in middle of a forest and is really quiet and is easy to see birds and monkeys. The pool is really nice and the beach is near walking. The house was clean and have all we need to enjoy the week we spend there.

L’établissement Cabinas Costa Tropicana se trouve à 12 km de ce lieu d’intérêt : Alturas Wildlife Sanctuary. The cottage was a real suprise! Everything worked well, was very clean, a lot od space, super shower, everything in the kitchen for cooking, huge refrigirator. You sleep in the jungle, we saw some animals. The owner from Netherland was super nice.

Situé à Uvita, l’hébergement Private jungle “Loft del Rio” river access offre une vue sur la montagne. Il comprend un jardin, une terrasse, un restaurant et une connexion Wi-Fi gratuite. This was exactly what I was looking for. Something deeper in the jungle yet close to Uvita and the coast. Just the peace and quiet and closeness to Nature I needed. And the cabin has no glass windows, just screens, so you can hear the music of the jungle very clearly. Nights were spectacular. I loved falling asleep to the symphony of the the surrounding wilderness and waking up to the sounds of roosters and howler monkeys (: The property has access to a river and mini waterfall which was very tranquil and serene. The drive to the cabin was a fun little adventure in itself and 4x4 is recommended. The hill that leads down to the cabin is ultra steep but you have the option to park atop the hill and walk down which is a short jaunt. The host, Wouter, was amazingly attentive, personable, and chill. He would always respond to my questions/ messages quickly. You could not ask for a better host. I can recommend Loft del Rio with total confidence and rate it a perfect 10. If you are looking to experience an immersive jungle experience that is also close to the coast, this is it.

The setting was easy to access on the road into town. The grounds were spectacular with mountain vistas, fresh ponds, and incredible landscaping. The staff was friendly and welcoming and made us feel so comfortable. Dinner and breakfast were beyond words in terms of choices and level of culinary creativity and experience. Absolutely delicious and beautifully presented on our patio in a jungle setting. Everything we experienced was at a heightened sense of creativity, and honoring Monteverde’s beauty with love.
