The lodge is a 2.5-hour drive from Johannesburg. This stay exceeded expectations. From the moment we arrived and were treated to a lemongrass-scented refreshing towel and a thirst-quenching welcome drink to the well-organized departure and everything in between, this was an incredible vacation. Thabo was our game drive expert and dazzled with numerous sitings of the big five, including two leopards and lions at sunset. He was professional, enthusiastic and very knowledgeable. I would also highly recommend visiting the Amani Spa. The treatments there were out of this world and unique. Kumo and Patricia did incredible work and the massages were therapeutic and relaxing. Mike served up breakfast with a smile. The food was outstanding. The ribs served at lunch were the best I've ever had and the breakfast was varied, plentiful and delicious. Already looking forward to a stay again next year. Thank you!

The lodge offers a hot tub. We loved the tent itself, the hot tub was amazing! The waterfall hike was beautiful as were the rock pools. The farm animals were also lovely to pet. The staff were lovely.

Lanseria International Airport is 145 km from the property, and the property offers a paid airport shuttle service. The attention to detail and guest experience went beyond anything we could have expected. From the phenomenal game drives facilitated by an amazing Ranger, to the amazing food and incredible service. This was by far a real treat!

The accommodation is air conditioned and comes with a hot tub. sparkling clean, lovely proprietors and staff, yummy food at the restaurant. so nice to have a cozy fire on a cold night. loved the design features in the unit

All meals are included at Tau Game Lodge, as well as 2 safaris per night booked. The staff were excellent, they made you feel straight at home and were extremely accommodating. We were never hungry, the food was fantastic and served in a creative way, one evening we had a brai in the bush; an amazing experience! The location next to a watering hole, meant that we had elephants directly outside our room and could watch a variety of animals drink and wash over lunch, you could watch and stare for hours. Lazarus our ranger was excellent, knowledgeable and patient with our many questions. He made us feel at ease around all animals. We also had a great massage, recommend the spa facilities for anybody interested.

A barbecue is available on site and both hiking and cycling can be enjoyed within close proximity of the lodge. I had everything we need and nice and cozy Awesome bathroom
