Only a 10 minute drive to acadia and 15 minute drive to Bar Harbor. It was a quaint little cottage, but with everything you needed. I would definitely come back.

Deluxe king room was exactly what was advertised - with sitting areas, huge bed, fridge, microwave and separate space for clothes / luggage. Outside decked sitting area very pleasant. Complimentary tea / coffee with biscuits in Lobby area - very welcoming. Outside appearance does not do this property justice - very pleasantly surprised when we got to our room.

A truly warm welcome awaits from all the staff. Adam the manager, who proudly explains how he grew up in the motel, shows the personal commitment to the whole place. The support staff are so cheerful and kind making such a pleasant atmosphere. If you're nostalgic for old quality which has been cared for over the years and subtly and gently brought into the 21st century, this is what you'll find. The 1970s wooden front doors and fly screens show that things used to be made to last, and a night in the Highbrook takes you back to a time when life had different values. Of course, the chocolate chip cookies have to have a mention. For me, from the UK, Canada Ginger Beer (without artificial sweetners) was just spot on. I was especially glad I had some as it's perfect to sooth the seasickness on a very rough crossing to Canada. And getting up at 4am is very worth it to climb up Dorr Mountain, which I would recommend over Cadillac Mountain if you're into walking; Cadillac Mountain if you like driving. If you order breakfast for 8.30am, you'll be back just in time and can treat yourself to a nice long bath afterwards as check out isn't until 11am.

The property was clean and the room was spacious. The location was perfect…a 5 min walk to the village green. The coffee and blueberry muffin each morning sorted us for breakfast and we’re delicious.

Highbrook Motel was great. The rooms were very clean, the staff was friendly and very informative about the area. The ease of staying here was great. They communicated with us personally before the trip as we arrived and through out our stay.

The location was great as it was within easy walking distance to everything going on at Bar Harbor. The room with the king bed that we got was great as it was spacious, very clean, and all the furniture seemed brand new, even though that part of the motel has been open for about 4 years. Suzy, at the receptionist desk, was phenomenal as she was super friendly and helpful. She made us feel right at home and made our stay very comfortable. Probably the most friendly receptionist that I have ever encountered at any motel or a hotel.

It's a motel but with a big lawn area out front. Stayed on second floor which had a view of trees. Location was superb and price reasonable given its location in Bar Harbor in summer. No restaurant but that's ok because the main tourist part of town is like 2 blocks. I liked that it's unpretentious and comfortable.

This cute retro motor lodge sits on the main highway just outside the village of Bar Harbor. This makes it an easy walk to town through beautiful scenery, so no need to find parking in this ama ing coastal setting. The room was redone to a cool modern vibe Clean and comfortable!!! It was a pleasant stay near great attractions of Acadia NO and all it offers.

Clean bare bones motel room. No fridge, no microwave, basic cable. If you're here for the 'motel room experience', please reconsider your priorities. If you're here to have a functional base of operations while exploring this part of maine, you've found it.

I was quite surprised with the room, it was larger than most motor lodges we have stayed at. They had modern conveniences such as a refrigerator, microwave, large screen T.V. and modern one cup coffee maker. The room was very clean and was kept clean by the motels cleaning stay that clean the room everyday. The Motor Lodge was close to everything we wanted to see on the island and Bar Harbor.
