The rooms will provide guests with a wardrobe and a kettle. Took our breakfast with us. It has only been built for 4 years and is new. The location was excellent a short walk to the main street. The Com is attached to the Pub the Commercial Hotel so could pop in for a drink or a meal if you liked. The building design was quite different with separate motel rooms(almost a tiny home) separated by empty garages on two levels Our room had lovely afternoon sun. Plenty of parking and space. Built in front of the big rock cliffs of Whakatane and the Tuis were very busy in the bush in the morning - lovely.

Freshly upgraded and modern, very spacious and clean. Right on the main thoroughfare so easy to find. Nice beds, furniture and very nice walk-in shower. Even had a jacuzzi tub but never had a chance to use it.

Free Wi-Fi and free car park (limited spaces, based on first in, no reserves) are on offer at Alexander Inn. Each room has a kitchenette or full kitchen with microwave, refrigerator and tea/coffee making facilities. We were made to feel very welcome. The hotel was quite luxurious and very very clean. We would recommend and definitely stay there again. Many thanks also for allowing us a late departure.
