The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The food was amazing. The shuttle service was very helpful for coming and going from the train station and to various activities. The onsen was clean and relaxing. There was laundry available for use. Games outdoors and indoors. Just amazing.

Wonderful Ryokan. Ran by lovely lady and (possibly) her family? Facilities are clean, rooms are a very good size, beds are comfortable, and it is very central to Happon-One ski hill, restaurants, shops, and bus stop to Nagano and other ski hills. Has a microwave and mini-fridge in the communal area, little onsen to relax the muscles after the slopes, and even some homemade snacks to go with your tea or coffee.

There is a restaurant, bar, lounge and drinks vending machine on site. A washing machine and dryer are provided for guest's convenience. After a long day of excursion, guests can unwind in the 24-hour hot springs bath at Hotel Sejour Mint in Hakuba. Property staff can advise guests on renting discounted ski gear nearby. The hotel is a non-smoking property. John and his staff are the friendliest, most helpful people. There is an onsen downstairs and you can walk to the Goryu ski lift. Loved our stay.

The Happo Kan is a 5-minute drive from Hakuba Iwatake Ski Area, and a 10-minute drive from Hakuba Goryu Ski Resort. It’s a 5-minute drive from the La Foret Hakuba Art Museum, as well as from Hakuba Train Station. The Hakuba Happo Onsen hot springs are a 10-minute drive. The location of hotel is awesome which is near Happo Bus Terminal, some restaurants and two ski equipment rental stores. The Hotel and room are clean and cozy. There is a comfortable onsen within hotel that you can relax after ski. The staff are friendly and helpful. Highly recommended Happo Kan!

If room with futons on floor nice light and warm. Insence bathing was cool but be aware there is no seperate shower.

Lovely place to stay on a quiet street in Hakuba a short walk to restaurants and shuttle for skiing. Owners are wonderful people. Extremely helpful and friendly. The private onsen is nice after a day on the slopes.

Highly recommended and we will definitely be back in the near future !
