This one being the best I've had the pleasure of staying in. The cleanliness is equivalent to some of the fanciest hotels out there, I can't overstate how comfy the common areas and rooms are. The onsen is great, although not very large. I picked the cheapest room option, and I was pleasantly surprised to find a massive room with wall sized view right into the forest, comfortable bunk beds with excellent ventilation.

I like the beautiful garden and room, also friendly host. Also all guests here are so nice, we chat together a lot.

The shop near the lobby was useful Beautiful footbath area, enjoying an icecream there was a highlight with the view while soaking my feet after breakfast was a highlight

Hostel was cute, very well equipped, with many facilities. Staff was very helpful and polite. The onsen was fantastic, very relaxing. Tattoo friendly as well. Do use bus or taxi if you're carrying luggage, otherwise it's a perfectly fine walking distance from the town. Perfect stay!

Guests at Hakone Mount View can enjoy rare volcanic hot spring water called nigori-yu, either in a shared open-air bath or at a surcharge in a private one. The hotel offers a shop with local products, Japanese-style confectionery shop. Totally worth it. Our experience in hakone wouldnt have been the same if we wouldnt have stayed in the hotel. Totally recommeded to get the dinner as there’re not much restaurants near by
