Ideally situated in the centre of Kyoto, ALA HOTEL KYOTO features air-conditioned rooms, a fitness centre, free WiFi and a restaurant. This 4-star hotel provides a spa experience, with its hot spring bath and spa centre. The hotel offers a sauna and a 24-hour front desk. 10/10 stay - the hotel exceeded all expectations. It is beautifully decorated and feels very luxurious. Staff were incredibly polite and helpful with every request, and were some of the most friendly and helpful staff we’ve every encountered. The on-site laundry is super useful and free of charge. The onsen facilities were wonderful (but bear in mind they are not available to tattooed guests). The room was large , well laid out and very clean. The pretty zen gardens on each floor were a nice touch. This hotel is a steal for the price - would recommend to anyone visiting Kyoto (and gives a little taste of a ryokan experience while staying at a hotel).

The property is non-smoking and is situated 400 metres from Gion Shijo Station. Second time staying at this beautiful hotel. First things first, the staff are just wonderful. The Onsen has an incredible view (be sure to stay two nights, as there are two Onsens. But only one with a view. Gender is swapped each day. The rooftop bar with foot baths is a lovely touch. The rooms are very comfortable and the location is perfect. Again the staff are incredible. We will never stay anywhere else in Kyoto. Can't wait to return!!

The accommodation offers a 24-hour front desk, luggage storage space and currency exchange for guests. Everything superb! I have not rated 10 among the hotels I stayed before for a long time. No shoes in the premise makes the entire hotel feel clean. Fantastic breakfast. Fantastic onsen with various types of bath to choose. The receptionists can speak basic english as well.

Everything met or exceeded our expectations, very helpful staff picked us up from the station and even carried our luggage for us. Onsen facilities were great as well as the food

The ryokan is located in a geothermal area, with a number of hot springs nearby for guests to relax in. The location was spectacular, away from the city but close to the bus stop. The hosts were amazing, breakfast was delicious! Facilities nice and clean such a beautiful experience

Situated in Kyotango and only less than 1 km from Nochigahama Beach, Shorenkan Yoshinoya features accommodation with sea views, free WiFi and free private parking. It is set 1.8 km from Mother and Child of Prince Shotoku Statue and offers free shuttle service. The ryokan has a hot spring bath and a lift. The room was super spacious, with a separate tatami room. It even had a genkan. Breakfast was a feast, with a view. The bath, particularly on the 4th floor, had a great view of the sea from above. Plenty of parking available. The guy at the reception who checked us in was fun and friendly, and spoke good English.

Meals were wonderful, property was relaxing and well maintained. Staff were friendly. Onsens and the gardens were beautiful
