This hotel is Shanghai's best kept secret. If you need to stay north of the city, stay here. It feels like a miniature Disneyland. Pictures of the grand staircase are accurate and do not disappoint. Staff checking in told me that the rate for my room had changed -- it had actually become *cheaper* relative to what I booked. They spent a half hour trying to get me the cheaper room rate -- outstanding. The bedroom was luxurious, like staying in a palace. Largest bed I've ever seen -- 1.5x wider than it was long. Short walk from Baoyang Rd metro station. Maybe a half hour to get back to the city on the metro, so not too long though it feels long the first time! Mall next door has food and other amenities. Breakfast was delicious. This was the best hotel I stayed in for the price during my last trip to China.

I had a wonderful stay at this lovely hotel! The experience was truly delightful from start to finish. The breakfast was a standout, especially the excellent Chinese options which were fresh and delicious. The room was spacious, immaculately cleaned, and offered a beautiful view which made it even more enjoyable. The staff were incredibly kind and attentive, always ready to assist with any request. Overall, it was a fantastic stay and I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for comfort and excellent service!

The room was spacious and the bed comfortable. It was really quiet as well. The bathroom was modern (Japanese toilet). Breakfast was outstanding! And the service both at the restaurant and the reception were really good. Great staff! Finally, location, location, location. A short walk away from Nanjing Road and the metro station at the People's Park. All the buzz and none of the noise. Fantastic stay

I will start off with my delightful experience with the host - Samuel. He was always there when we needed help, it is easy to communicate with him, and he also speaks English! The room itself - amazin view from the last floor, it was equipped with everything we needed for our 2-days stay. The metro is accessible from the building itself. Great location by the Suzhou River. Walking distance to Nanjing Rd, The Bund, and plenty of great shops and restaurants. Staff were extremely helpful and hooked us up with anything that we needed. Room was clean, comfy, and well appointed, with a great view. Fantastic value for money. Would certainly stay here again.
