The owners are lovely generous people. Esteban knows about birds and took me to some nearby places that were alive with many varieties of small colourful birds such as tanagers. The large garden has been lovingly planted with a variety of trees which are labelled, and is visited by toucans and beautiful butterflies. At the bottom of the garden is a fast flowing mountain river. Food was copious, healthy and presented in an artistic way similar to a Michelin starred restaurant . Unexpected! My bedroom was a small, independent building away from the main house, with a shaded terrace from which I could photo hummingbirds and butterflies. I saw no other tourist during my 4 days here.

The hotel is a hidden oasis in the center of Pérez Zeledon. We were delighted with the attraction of the native birds that the staff feed fruit so you can view them while seated for dinner, drinks or the pool. The linens were so clean, fresh, as you expect. Everything worked well. Nothing was broken down or signs of neglect. The grounds are meticulously maintained. The security was reassuring so you can relax. The location allows you to escape the busy of the city but easily access by walking everything you need: gas, restaurants, church, pharmacy, shopping for anything, fresh food markets. I had haircut and nails done nearby. The staff are happy and you can see the guests are enjoying facilities. The design is well planned. The bathroom sink and mirror are outside of shower so no steamed mirror or waiting for sink if someone is using shower or toilet. Great attention to detail. I could see people could work from this facilities remotely and be very well equipped.Children are welcome. The pool was refreshing. Accessible for people with limited mobilty. Hot water was excellent. The restaurant was delicious. I enjoyed a great chicken soup. Great place! I will definitely use Zima as my hotel in San Isidro.

    Secure parking, which is always our main priority. Bed was comfortable but filled the room and so one person had to climb over the other to get out. Kitchen to cook ourselves. Nice enough place.

    Very easy access and good parking. The room was clean and comfortable if a little basic and slightly dated in appearance. The hosts were wonderful and really couldn’t do enough. The views from the rooms are wonderful and the garden was very pretty and well-maintained The breakfast was also delicious, with a great view!

    The receptionist was friendly. The bed was comfortable and the room was quiet large. Its location isn't too far from the town but I'm not sure it's close enough to walk to. There's also lots of parking.

    Security and secure parking. Location is very good...not downtown but in a quiet neighborhood near primary shopping. Incredible value for cost. Note this is typical modest area accommodations. If you have lived or travelled in CR for any time, this is modest, typical and very clean, well equipped. Note, it has great WiFi...I was getting 95 Mbps, and large screen TV, and washer combo.
