It’s a beautifully restored 17th century building with free parking. The mattress was very comfortable and the shower was excellent. Although there is no air-con in the room, a very effective fan was provided. The hotel is very close to the town - a 5 minute walk at most. I arrived at 9pm, after an 11hr drive from the UK to find that the reception closes for check-in at 4pm on a Sunday. I re-read booking.com order confirmation and right at the bottom it does note this. It should be at the top for a 1 night Sunday booking. I slept in the van in the car park for £110. Not the hotel's fault! I normally have to check in after 3, this caught me out. Be aware!!Guest review byMarkSolo traveller
