We felt at home. The owner was extremely kind and helped us getting around to the national parks. You can easily get a bus from the main highway to Cotopaxi. The house doesn’t have heating but we were not cold as they gave us really warm blankets

We arrived in the evening, the reception hall + restaurant has a beautiful view of montagne with fireplace. Taking a pisco sour made by Victor was real nice memory. The stuff were very professional and friendly, thanks a lot to Victor !

Frank is an amazing host! He helped us so much with planning of the trips around. ( El Corazón, Iliniza Norte, Cotopaxi....) Chaupi was our base camp for the acclimatization in mountains in Ecuador. We spent in Frank hostal amazing one week and I can definitely say, that it was the best decision stay in Ilinizas Wasi. You can use a kitchen, pat their dog and cats, use the washing machine. Frank even helped us with booking a guide for Cotopaxi and he recommended us great guide Marco. ( From 8 groups we were the only ones, who reached the summit.) I recommend this place 10/10.!

Darwin was a super host and chef. He helped us organise a guide to take us up Cotopaxi (Patricio who also was amazing). Darwin provided great communication before we even arrived helping us get to his hotel via bus or taxi. Nice fire in the restaurant to dry off after a day of walking, hot water in the room, cozy bed Theres even a small shop opposite for any snacks

Very cozy place, with a lot of space to sit around. The staff was very helpful with organizing transport. We could leave our backpack while going to cotopaxi. We really recommend the place.

Highly accessible from the Panamericana, this place offers amazing food for breakfast, lunch and dinner (many people stop here on their way up or down the Cotopaxi as the restaurant is renown all-around for its great food). Our host Fernando made sure we had everything covered and organized daily tours to any destinations (Illinizas, Cotopaxi Park etc.) with his guides. Really comfortable, cosy room. Real fire in room was a treat! Good quality, homemade food. Loads of animals including friendly dogs. Reception/dining area reminded me of a cosy English country pub. The hosts organised a guide at short notice to take us to Cotopaxi.
