We had a 2 night stay. We would book again. The Manager and staff were exceptional, professional, friendly and provided first class service. The restaurant, The Forge is excellent Michelin guide level but without doubt was at Michelin star quality. The breakfast and dinner were excellent. A good choice of beverages and wine. The cleanliness and hygiene throughout the hotel was of a high standard. I liked the quirky decor design throughout the hotel. We were a group of mum’s & daughters celebrating 80th and 85th birthdays - the entire staff made us very welcome and made our stay special. Added plus was complimentary soft drinks were provided in the bedroom fridge. The hotel is mobility accessible throughout with the exception that the beds in both standard and the accessible room were very high and difficult to get into. A NCP car park is available 5 minimum walk from the hotel.

What a beautiful hotel. So close to everything and Tracy couldn't of been more welcoming and helpful. The rooms were spotless, comfortable, cosy and relaxing. I will definitely be back to Chester and will be staying here again!

To say this accommodation is spectacular is an understatement! I really don't know how it wasnt booked because we booked it last minute. There was 5 of us, 2 adults and 3 kids. The 2 girls had an absolute ball pretending they were princesses in their very own castle. Everything from the location to all the little extras that the owners added was absolutely fabulous. There was milk, sugar tea and coffee. Amazing when you check in at 11pm and realise you've no coffee for the morning and its there for you. The biscuits and wine. I mean the owners really go out of their way to make your stay amazing! If I could give this place more then 10 I would. The shower is amazing, the beds are comfy, the little surprise that the kids and adults were absolutely blown away by! Best place weve ever stayed and we will definitely be back! If you're lucky enough to be able to book this place dont hesitate! You won't regret it. We didn't want to leave. We would have happily moved in! Thanks so much to the owners. From the Irish family that stayed last week!

    Loved the location, down by the river Dee. With a short walk into the city centre and main attractions. The property was nicely decorated, warm and comfortable. A short walk across the car park to the nearby pub/restaurant. Free parking for guests was a bonus, however others can pay to park there and we struggled to find a spot. Towards the end of the day it wasn’t an issue.

    we got lost for the valet parking and ended up in the multi-story car park (level 2) . No problem , concierge collected our belongings and the valet parked our car. Reception staff where really helpful , service in the Arkle restaurant was superb (as was the food)

    Situated across the road from Chester train station, this historic hotel was absolutely fantastic. 10 mins walk from Chester city centre and close to amenities, it was perfect for us. On site restaurant, bar and quick meal areas were very welcome. Our room was so large and comfortable. Art pieces everywhere :D Staff were amazing, paid car parking nearby and definitely woulds stay again.
