Lots of space, all the facilities we needed,very clean, great location. They put up a Christmas tree and left us tea coffee milk biscuits and Prosecco upon arrival at no extra cost.

This B&B ticks all the boxes, the room is comfortable, the host we could have talked with for hours, large bathroom with seperate shower and bath, very good breakfast. Didn't miss a thing (well only one small thing, somewhere to hang the towels, but that will be fixed!) Lots to see in the area for those interested in history. Skip the inside of Chillingham Castle though, it is a horror for historians, looks like all in the attic from all ages and countries has been dumped in the rooms, no context and in a bad state! Norham castle ruine is lovely, Paxton house has a great tour, Bamburgh castle is magnificent, Floors Castle very elegant.

The large family room included a small separate room with a bunk bed - perfect for staying with children. It was very convinient for us to have the restaurant and the pub in the same house. Great loation if you're heading to Holy Island or the surroundings.

    The location was practical - close to Holy Island, yet quiet. Free parking, and a well-stocked village shop just opposite. The staff were welcoming and friendly. Dinner was very tasty.
