Breakfast great value, beautiful chunky sausage and all trimmings. DJ on fri/sat old tunes the best. Very comfortable, plenty free parking just at the back. Town centre full of little shops and character. We sampled at least 10 pubs, most of which serve pub grub. This hotel serves great food and big enough portions. The crown is another pub food fav. The bed was comfortable. The staff were all very friendly. The hotel is brilliantly situated in the town centre but we didn't hear any noise even though our room overlooked the shopping street. There is free car parking. We had the light breakfast for just under £10 and thought it was good value - cereal, toast, juice, we each chose an omelette, and tea or coffee. Meals in the pub were excellent for both evening main meal, and breakfast. Facilities were great and the building of the pub itself is a lovely old fashioned English pub with lots of character.
