The property is absolutely spotless, has everything you need and more for your stay. The bed is so comfortable, and the walk in shower is amazing. It’s a great location, local shop, pubs and is in driving distance of beautiful Lake Windermere where we had a lovely day out. We didn’t want to leave and would highly recommend this property. 10/10 to the hosts for a perfectly finished place to stay.

The staff at the Shap Wells Hotel went above and beyond to help us continue on our Coast to Coast adventure despite some serious setbacks on our part. The location is fabulous, the staff friendly and helpful, and the accommodations historic and lovely – a wonderful place to stay.

There were so many thoughtful touches as well as clean quality linen, a most comfortable bed, portable fan (which was perfect for the hot spell), I also liked the kitchen equipment - which was so much more than the basics. Thank you it was a wonderful stay in a beautiful village.

    This property exceeded all of our expectations, We booked a family room with an ensuite. The room and ensuite were very clean. The beds were very comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful. On site parking was an added convenience. Breakfast was great - it was certainly more than we expected.
