I booked Hemma Grove last minute and just for one night but it has left such a lasting impression. The farmhouse has been restored with extraordinary care and attention—every detail feels intentional, from the decor to the beautifully preserved character of the original building. Dee kindly accommodated our very late check-in on Friday night, which we were so grateful for. We had to leave early the next morning, but in that short time we were struck by how comfortable and calming the space is. The beds were exceptionally comfortable, and the large walk-in shower added a real sense of luxury. What stood out most was how the home honours those who lived there before—through carefully restored doors, artefacts, and design choices that feel respectful and considered. We were genuinely struck by the work that Dee and Billy have poured into this place. Everything has been thought of, and it shows. This is a place of great serenity, surrounded by trees and wildlife located beside Dee and Billy’s home. A very special place—one that needs to be experienced to be truly appreciated. We had an awesome one-night stay at the farmhouse and really wish we could’ve stayed longer. The location was great, and the hosts were super friendly. Lorna even gave us a tour of the farm, which we weren’t expecting but ended up being one of the best parts of our trip! My daughter loved seeing all the animals, especially the cows. We also got to enjoy a beautiful sunset. Big thanks to the hosts for their amazing hospitality!

A very welcoming host greeted up on arrival and provided us with helpful information provided during our stay. The well appointed room was lovely - comfortable, bright and airy with nice views and plenty of space. Breakfast was delivered to the room in a hamper and was most adequate and nicely presented - there is a small dining table in the room. The whole place was sparkling clean. Private off street parking was perfect. Close to the castle and also a short drive to Lidle/Aldie and city centre. A great property to explore the surrounding area and towns from. Don't be enticed to go to Tipperary - as the host warned, there is nothing there.
