Everything! The apartment is beyond stunning -- the main room is covered in 15th century frescoes -- and overlooks the courtyard and art gallery, so it is completely quiet at night. The host is friendly and kind and his property manager, Pierangela, was lovely -- she even collected me from the train station! The flat is well-equipped, with a dishwasher and amenities, e.g., hair dryer, coffee maker, coffee, tea and biscuits (a nice touch). I only wish I could have stayed longer! Mantova is a very pretty place that deserves more attention. People are friendly, the vibe is easygoing, and there is plenty to see. The Palazzo Ducale is magnificent -- and I say this as someone who has seen a fair few palaces. But don't miss the lesser-known Palazzo Te, with themed rooms inspired by classical mythology. The Chamber of Giants is one of the most mind-blowing paintings I've ever seen -- it wraps around the entire room and ceiling. Do not miss it!

We were met by the owner on arrival who offered us a glass of wine before showing us to our room. This was generously sized with a very comfortable bed and a humongous, well-equipped, stylish bathroom. We were only staying for a night (a pity) and had driven all the way from Rome so didn't fancy going into Mantua for dinner. Instead the owner recommended a fantastic pizza restaurant five minutes away that really did the job. The next morning we were served a wonderful breakfast, all freshly prepared and including homemade cake, what could be better?

The rooms are very spacious and tastefully decorated: top marks for the interior design! Large and comfortable bed, beautiful views from the bathroom. The stuff was friendly and attentive, clearly they run the place with passion. Renè, the dog, is a very pleasant and relaxing presence. The quality of the breakfast is excellent and almost all was handmade. We will definitely return.

Everything was just perfect. From the moment we checked in until we checked out we were always treated very well. The room was great and the breakfast in the morning was incredible. We booked it for our first night on our road trip through italy and it was great to relax at the pool and start the holiday. The location is quite rural so you definitely need a car to reach this location.

Appartment was really nice! It was in a very good neighborhood, very clean and had a lot of space. The bed was great and all the rooms were decorated with taste. Windows had screen for mosquites, very useful! It has parking in front.

Excellent convenient location, free problem-less public parking is available, apartment is designed very cleverly even for group like ours - 3 different bedrooms one of which with Master Bathroom plus a foldable sofa in the living room-kitchen - really suitable for 5 different individual beds only 2 of which are in the same room, bathrooms are modern, clean and spacious, all venue is electronically state-of0the art equipped - electronic code locks in both entrance doors, shady blinds on all windows + AIRCONDITIONERS IN EVERY ROOM - in summer this is crucial - the heat in Mantova during our stay was just unbearable - day and night, the evening-working pizza place and the Gelateria right besides your entrance are a true plus of the venue - the gelateria works from morning to late night, the ice cream they sell is exquisite and pretty cheap and the place is always over-crowded - obviously it is a special and famous place for Mantovanians, the community is calm, secure and quiet - really nothing to complain of! The host - Barbara - we never saw her in 2 days - but obviously she is very gifted and caring manager and the communication she sustains timely and constantly made it if she was there with us all the time. Forgot to mention - kitchen is excellently equipped with everything you may need, some quick snacks, coffee capsules, tea and a cold water in the fridge are welcoming you when you enter the place! Thank you so much Barbara!
