Shekhar is a special person that has created a special place for travellers to come together, share and find a likeminded community which this place seems to attract. On arrival I felt immediately at peace as it feels like home and has the best energy. Shekhar is very generous with sharing his time to show guests around the hidden gems of Bhaktapur and knowledge of Nepali and Newari culture. Staying here wasn’t just a place to sleep, it was an experience of getting to really know the city and Nepali way of life. Staying here also reminded me of the important things in life - good company, community, music, spirituality, art, food, learning and exploring. It was one of the highlights of two months travelling Nepal which speaks volumes :)

We really enjoyed our stay at Jungle Crown. The hosts were lovely, food was delicious and we especially loved the location! If you're a nature lover, this is a place for you. We used local buses to move around, which was a very positive experience as well. Our hut was equipped with everything we needed.

We stayed four days and felt warmly welcome every day. We were very surprised how clean, quiet and well organised this cosy place is. Everything is done with love: breakfast, afternoon and night tea, cleaning of rooms, providing advice for places to visite, and to go for Lunch and dinner, and books to read. Thank you very much for accomodating us, for this excellent experiance, we would come back any time. The family went over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable. We highly recommend this place! Everything was neat and beautiful, tucked away in a beautiful corner but near to everything you would like to visit at Bhaktapur. The room had amazing views and I could simply sit in the room and pass away my time. Would love to visit again and stay here.
