You become one of the Family at Golden River, I had such a fantastic time here, a wonderful family led by Pappu, Incredible guide, the most delicious food & the best location 😍😍 I saw so many birds just sat on the porch drinking Masala Chai, Recommend to anyone who wants to fulfill their dreams of seeing the wildlife & experience the warmth & hospitality of a great local family, & yes, I saw 3 Tigers amongst so much other wildlife!!!! 😍😍🐯🐯😍😍

The place is in a very good location, near the village, but in the middle of the field, for nice and calm sleeping during the night. The rooms have really good beds, it's clean and outside is beautiful. Food is simply amazing. Best in Nepal, big portions, from domestic field ingredients. The people here really care for our comfortable staying. They are also organizing walking or jeep safari. Shardul, the guide, and another guide lead us to amazing places in the national park to see the tigers, rhino, elegant... in a natural environment. Highly recommend and it's a place to come back!

I had a very nice stay at wildplanet eco Retreat prakash and baba (the owner ) took care of me very well from the very beginning I did jungle walking tour with prakash (if you wanna have a good jungle experience ask baba and prakash as they has good English and knows the jungle well Everything was great at this home amazing staff that is friendly and makes customers feel welcome. Highly recommended tree house in the jungle.

We stayed for two nights immersed in the forest with breathtaking sunsets. The staff was friendly and welcoming, with everything you could need. The cleanliness was impeccable, but the highlight of the resort was undoubtedly the cuisine, which was decidedly above average. It's a family-run resort with plenty of outdoor space for relaxing.

Budhi and Sonja are excellent an attentive hosts. There good communication before my arrival. The atmosphere is very welcoming, with a lovely garden with a fire pit to keep the chills away. The food was delicious and I ate outside in the garden every day. The Homestay is set in a rural location with many authentic farms/homesteads within walking distance. There was a vast range of activities from walks to various safari's and all arranged by the Homestay. I was lucky enough to see a Tiger along with many other animals and birds on one of the walking safari's in Bardia National Park. The room was clean and spacious and I really appreciated the ethical/sustainable attitude towards waste here.

Very friendly family-run property with beautiful garden. Excellent food was available all time, staff and owners are attentive and try to fulfil every wish. Special thanks to the owner for taking good care of us while having problems entering India. He was ready to take us for a five hours drive to the next border without any discussion. What a service! Great thanks, we will not forget.

Really great stay. We were met at the bus station (without having asked) and driven back to the hotel. Super friendly staff, who went above and beyond to be helpful. Managed to get us a bus ticket and arrange it all for us. Also we loved the safari, which was all sorted for us.

We had a fabulous stay at Bardia Eco-Lodge. The rooms and gardens are lovely. This is a true rustic eco-lodge blending beautifully with the natural surroundings. The lodge is walking distance to both the Elephant Breeding Centre and the main entrance of Bardia National Park. Our host Madhu, is a certified safari guide and we enjoyed an exceptional day on private jeep safari with him and a driver seeing a tiger, rhinos, many deer and monkeys.
