During my 16-day journey through New Zealand, I stayed at eight different accommodations across various regions, and Charleston Goldfields was by far the most comfortable. The accommodation was exceptionally clean and well-organized, with attention to detail evident throughout. For example, the bed was equipped with an electric blanket, but what stood out to me was the layering of four blankets, all of which were clean and soft. The quality of the bedding and the well-equipped kitchen clearly reflected Sarah’s thoughtful care. In terms of service, Sarah was incredibly considerate of my schedule. She accommodated an early check-in due to my travel plans and weather conditions, and she was attentive to my dietary needs when preparing breakfast, ensuring it was suitable for my allergies. The only downside was that I could only stay for one night. Additionally, the nearest supermarket is about a 20-minute drive away, but Sarah kindly informed me of this in advance, which was helpful. Overall, I had a wonderful experience at Charleston Goldfields, and I highly recommend it for its comfort, cleanliness, and exceptional service.

The accommodation is perfect and furnished with charm. You immediately feel at home. Sarah is the perfect hostess. She has lots of information about the area and is available to answer any questions. The breakfast was wonderful with lots of delicacies. I can recommend the accommodation to anyone.

The Caravan was honestly more similar to a lovely tiny home.. Bright, Comfortable, and well stocked with all we needed. We so appreciated the "dropped off daily" breakfast supplies.. so much selection and a great treat. Sarah, our host was a super wealth of information and ideas to do and experience in the area... and on our way to next stop...

On arival we met the hosts , welcoming and warm made it fantastic from the get go ! The house has everything plus more , weather was average and drizzly but it didn’t matter . The fire was ever so warm and cozy , the board games etc fun. Honestly 10 out of 10 for everything 🥰

Loved the location, walked down to the ocean, viewed a beautiful sunset. The restaurant adjacent to the motel was excellent.
