Extremely clean. Kitchen was fully stocked (pots, bowls, plates, glasses, mugs, silverware, other utensils, and a full range of appliances and cleaning supplies). Heater worked well. Beds and couches were very comfortable. Bathroom was great. And the views of the ocean from both the living room and the main bedroom were nothing short of stupendous.

Jenny was so very welcoming (I didn't have the opportunity to see Mike but I'm quite sure he would have been too!). Wonderful comfortable unit with sea view. Couldn't have asked for more. Very handy for exploring the Catlins but I would recommend to also just take the time to relax at this very special place.

I absolutely loved everything about this place, it was definitely one of my favourites in all of NZ! The owner is so kind and responsive, always quick to help with anything we needed. The place is spotlessly clean and tidy, and it's full of lovely little touches that immediately make you feel right at home. Everything is really well organised and well thought out, you can tell they've put so much care into every detail. And the view from the porch right in front of the sea is just incredible! I could have sat there for hours just watching the waves. Kaka Point is such a lovely, safe little community, we felt so welcomed by everyone we met, and the Caitlins in general are absolutely wonderful to explore. Close to the place there's a really good pub as well, and the building made of wood and driftwood was such a treat, a real pleasure to see and perfectly fits the coastal vibe. I honestly can't recommend this place enough and I'm already hoping we can come back soon! If you're looking for somewhere special to stay in this area, this is definitely it.

The apartment is beautiful, big and spacious with large windows and a marvellous view. We liked all, especially the comfortable bed, the bathtube with whirlpool and the ocean view. The last morning there was an awesome and spectacular sunrise with rainbow, the best ever we had. From Kaka Point we could visit easily many places of the Katlins, so we loved it. The responsable woman was very helpful and friendly, f.e. with the key and all our questions.

Looking out to Kaka Point Beaches and Nugget Point Light House, this motel offers a variety of accommodation types with free WiFi and access to barbecue facilities.
