One of the best places if You are planning to visit Jabal Shams. This place is reachable by simple 2WD car. 5 minutes from this place the paved road to Jabal Shams (Balcony Walk, Grand Canyon) is finishing and starting only unpaved road, which is passable by 4WD car. So it is very comfortable to stay in this place and order from owners transfer to Jabal Shams (Grand Canyon, Balcony walk). Homeed guide (cousin from this place owner) will provided us all the help with transfer, he is spoked very well english, droved securely, and proposed us next morning Guided tour to Wadi Nahrm - it was even better and extremed walk to hidden water pool (Thank You Homeed for secure guidance!). Dinner is abolute amazing, Homeed's wife's prepared KARAK tea is WONDERFUL. Thank You! p.s. You can see beautiful Sunset from this place - this building is on the top mountain.

What is this a hidden gem, even though I have looked through the photos on booking, I was still amazed by this house when we arrived here. It is literally at the beginning of the balcony walk so if you get up on time (we left at 7 a.m. with our two boys) then you have the walk completely to yourself. The house is amazing, very large kitchen with living room, two spacious bedrooms with comfortable beds. We bought our own food in Nizwa and made a nice dinner with salmon wraps and ate them outside by the fire place. We bought some wood from the people taking care of this house and made a fire and even bbq marshmallows. No wifi connection here but who would mind with such a beautiful view all around you. We played some board games and hanged out around the fire. House has plates, pots, cuttlery, cups and big refrigerator so comfortable enough to make your own dinner and breakfast and just enjoy the peace. It's maybe good to mention that we didn't have a 4x4 but my husband is an experienced driver and didn't have a problem driving up in our rental Hyundai car.

The house is in a great location, close to W6 Balcony Walk and other hiking routes. The house is really authentic and cozy, the kitchen is well equipped. It was cold in January, but we could heat up the rooms with the ac. Ahmed and his helper are great hosts, they were very helpful with all their advices. I highly recommend Canyon Rest House.

We absolutely loved the villa! It was incredibly spacious, spotlessly clean, and in a fantastic location. The property is very affordable, offering 3 comfortable bedrooms and 2 well-maintained bathrooms. One of the highlights was the cherries available within the compound. It was such a delightful touch! The owner, Mr. Ali was exceptionally helpful and guided us throughout our stay, making the experience even better. Highly recommend this property for anyone looking for a peaceful and pleasant stay.

The dome location is the most beautiful spot to stay in the area. It was so private and you have the stars at night and the sunrise in the morning, above the gorge. You’re so close to the walking track, but have even better views. The room was clean and comfortable and Saeed was a great host. Ram the chef in the nearby hotel was a really kind man and made delicious food. I’d highly recommend staying here.

Wauw! What a amazing stay we had at this guesthouse. This accomodation has a perfect location (near the mountains and a village) is well designed and is very clean. The rooms are modern, totally new and the beds sleep very well. Our host Hommed was very kind and helpfull. He showed around the area and can take you for a hike in de beautiful mountains of Oman. The view of the guesthouse is magnificent! It is really a place i reccoment. Thank you Hommed for your kindness, we will return.
