The apartment was clean, comfortable and spacious with everything needed for our stay. While not actually in Guimaraes we used Uber (Bolt also available) to get to the town for just 5 Euros each way, which gave us a welcome break from driving. Although on quite a busy road, inside the apartment was peaceful and quiet. The host was easy to communicate with and excellent in answering any questions we had. All in all this was a very good place to stay.

Claudino is an amazing host! The rooms, the house, the garden, everything is done with such attention to detail. The house is surrounded by nature, so it is just perfect for a relaxing stay. Our room had a nice terrace, where you can spend your time, but the area has so many nice corners to discover, you can go to the pool or use one of the hammocks. When we arrived, we got a warming welcome from the owner, he showed us around and explained everything. We even got a small welcoming gift! The breakfast was also very tasty, everything you can whish for, from very good coffee to freshly made eggs. If we ever come back to this area, we would stay again at this beautiful place. Thank you for everything!

We had the pleasure of staying at Villa Margaridi at the start of September. The location, close to Guimaraes, was perfect as was our host Jose and his colleague Hugo. Both offered welcome, information and outstanding hospitality with evening port, special green tea and an interesting tour of the historic garden. Our villa was comfortable with a beautiful view over the garden. The kitchenette was well stocked and bread and croissants arrived each morning. I do not hesitate to recommend a stay at the Villa and agree with all the positive comments made by previous guests.

This husband-and-wife-run accommodation just feels like home, with spacious living space and kitchen free to use. They sent clear pre check-in instructions in advance and were responsive with messages, and gave detailed information of the sightseeing without prompt at check-in. Cleanliness is spotless.     The host could not have been nicer. We had some trouble with the internet so he popped over to help. The location is perfect for exploring. There is an underground parking lot nearby that was very convenient as driving and parking in old towns can be challenging. We loved having breakfast delivered in baskets in the morning. The building itself is exactly what we had hoped it would be; old but bright and with high, lovely ceilings and windows to the front street.
