I was crying this morning when we left. it is the most beautiful and peaceful place. everything is made respecting nature, animals, the environment. Valter, the owner is just a wonderful man. kind, helpful, explaining his project, reserving restaurants, having time to chat and show you his happy animals. the room was wonderful, not a sound at night, beautiful toiletries, a pool to die for.. and the breakfast is all homemade, with the eggs from the farm, and wonderful Margarida preparing it with love. we will be back, it was too short!!! obrigada Valter! um abraço enorme! We liked everything! Location on the top square of old medieval square, parking next to the hotel, exterior and interior like from historic books but with all modern functionality, dinner in hotel’s restaurant was fabulous! Recommend this place!

We had an amazing stay at Monte do Roque. It was the perfect place for a peaceful vacation after spending some days in Lisbon. The B&B is located on a farm surounded by fields with oak trees so we were able to go on some nice walks and hang out with the animals on the farm (thanks Veronique for letting us help out with the animals here and there ☺️). Veronique and Tom were great hosts, making you feel like a part of the family! They also had some great suggestions for day trips so we had a lot of fun discovering the nearby towns. The rooms were nicely decorated and the breakfast was great as well, it had everything we needed. We are looking forward to coming back in Summer and see how they improved further (and try out the pool as well since it was still a bit too cold)

Loved the interior and energy of this place. Good and fresh breakfast, delivered every morning. Well known and recommended restaurant a few steps away. Very good communication from host. A fair walk to the bus station. If you have a car- plenty of parking.
