We chose the La Quinta by Wyndham St. Albans for its location -- we were coming to view the April 8 2024 total solar eclipse and the hotel, with its generous parking areas and broad expanses of lawn provided us with an excellent place to view the eclipse, while able to to walk from our room to the viewing area without needing to use our car for the entire two nights and busy eclipse day. Absolutely wonderful (and the eclipse was spectacular as well).

I loved the location , not far from Burlington, and right by Lake Champlain. It's close to a few tourist attractions. Even though the house was right by Route 2 it was quiet. There was a beautiful garden on site with patio chairs to relax outside. The hosts, John and his mother were personable and always ready to help. The breakfast in the morning was hearty and delicious and varied from day to day. The room had all the necessary amenities and was comfy and large. I had all I needed. The interior of the house was filled with beautiful furniture , including antiques. The outside was quite nice too. Next time I'm in that area of Vermont , I will definitely stay there again.

The house is an historic-victorian estsblishment with old furniture and paintings that throws you back into a time-tunnel but with modern facilities. The bed and the linen were the softest and most comfortsble we ever had. The breakfast was one different dish every day, made by the host herself, tasty, special and accurate. The host herself, Karenmarie was wonderful. We had a glass of wine with her in both our nights and we were deeply impressed by her personality, friendship, kindness and openness. Our stay there was a delight and gave us a good impression of St. Albans
