The house is absolutely lovely--exactly what we were looking for on our Canadian countryside journey! It's very well maintained and the furniture is out of a movie from 70 years ago. Also, the breakfast was delicious and far exceeded expectations! They adjusted for my wife (vegetarian) as well.

Having a history of the location at breakfast followed by fiddle playing enhanced the whole experience, I would highly recommend stopping here.

The property offers free parking. The facilities in the cottages were exceptional. The kitchen was stocked way better than many airbnb's. The staff was super helpful and very nice. Although we didn't use it, the games room looked amazing!

The B&B is a lovely calm place with spacious rooms with a view to lake Ainslie. Delicious breakfast was cooked and it was changing every morning. The hosts were friendly, helpful and accommodating to cyclists.

The Canso Causeway is within a 5-minute drive from Chisholms of Troy Coastal Cottages. It is 10 km from Port Hawkesbury, filled with a variety of restaurants, and 24 km from Dundee Golf Club. On-site parking is provided. Beautiful surroundings, though the mist took away some of the pleasure. The cottage is very good and well equipped. The landlord is very good, friendly and welcoming. My friend and I arrived late (after midnight) by rental car from Halifax. He (the landlord) was waiting for us and directed us to our cottage. We really appreciated this kind service.
