The kitchen was well equipped and we cooked ourselves dinner a couple of times, which was a nice change to dining out. It is a bit out of town (which means it's nice and quiet!), but walkable and always easy to catch an Uber.

We loved that it was on a farm. It was a beautiful location about 40mins outside La Fortuna proper. You need a vehicle to get around. On the property there are horses, peacocks, miniature horses and even a beautiful water buffalo! The room was comfortable and the service was so hospitable and warm! DEFINITELY worth staying there!

Free parking is provided at the hotel. This is my second time at San Bosco Inn, we loved it the first time, we loved it even more the second time! Staff is kind, 1 day free access to thermals, breakfast is good and very generous and rooms are kept clean and tidy. Will be back for sure! 😊

Surrounded by 860 private acres of tropical rainforest and featuring an on-site lake, a swimming pool, a sun terrace and games room, Arenal Observatory Lodge & Trails is located within the Arenal Conservation Area, only 2.7 km from the Arenal Volcano. I wanted accommodation were we could see plenty of wildlife and be surrounded by nature. Arenal Observatory Lodge exceeded out expectations. We saw beautiful birds everywhere along with other wildlife. We considered the drive back to La Fortuna to be relatively easy, so did not mind that it was a little bit out of the way. Excellent breakfast and very accommodating and friendly staff. Highly recommend that horse trek here as well.
