Great location, close to bus stop where buses arrive from Trikala and leave for the monasteries. You can also rent ebikes/scooters from a shop nearby. I stayed 3 days and highly recommend this place:-)

Pyrgos Adrachti Hotel is just 1 km away from Kalambaka and within a short drive of the 6 monasteries and plenty of restaurants. A spacious free private parking is available in the premises. We loved everything about this hotel—the location, the views from our balcony, the breakfast, the cleanliness, and the staff. Kastraki is a smaller town than Kalabaka and we were happy with this. We were still able to walk to restaurants in Kastraki from the hotel. We loved the easy accessibility to hiking trails….literally right next to the property.

The stone-built hotel offers tastefully furnished rooms with views of Meteora, the mountains or the garden. Each of the spacious rooms is en suite and includes hairdryer. The hotel is a short taxi ride from the train station. The room had a balcony with great view of the monoliths some of which have the monasteries perched. The room was clean, comfortable, and the air-conditioning worked well, which isn’t that common in the 4-5 star hotels in Greece this trip. There was a nice breakfast included in the tariff. The housekeeping staff quickly made the beds and brought fresh towels while you were eating breakfast. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, whether it was a smile at breakfast, booking a taxi, advising on how to visit the monasteries, or anything else you wanted to ask. They even made up a special little breakfast to take when we had to leave early to take the train to Athens.

On Monastiri’s ground floor, guests will find a lounge bar with fireplace and an internet corner with free wired and wireless access. Other facilities include a large garden with panoramic Meteora views, as well as free parking. Excellent welcome. Our room was very comfortable with a lovely balcony & view. Unfortunately it was too cold to swim but the pool looked like it would be very inviting in warmer months! Excellent breakfast with delicious home made bakes. Great location with a short walk to restaurants, coffee shops and bars.
