Shanti is a little haven of perfect tranquility and only a few meters from the beach. Our room was spacious, clean with thoughtful decor and accessories including some interesting books. I loved the individual paintings both inside and out. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful and kind. We arrived extremely early without warning and were offered breakfast immediately which was above and beyond but extremely thoughtful and much appreciated. They had our room ready for us within a few minutes so that we could enjoy our day around the pool. Mr Luis welcome was terrific and it was lovely to meet Manni the owner and share some of his abounding energy. We would highly recommend staying at Shanti and will certainly rebook next time we are back in El Paredon.

Unless you’re really into surfing I’d recommend coming down for a weekend (2 nights). The temperature is something else... This pool saved our lives as the sea isn’t great for swimming. Facilities are great, rooms spacious and beautiful. Tip the local staff as they do an excellent job on cleaning!

The staff welcomed us with such warmth and kindness. The room was spacious and luxurious, the outdoor shower was refreshing and fun, and the food at the restaurant was excellent. It was also really nice that guests are trusted to take drinks freely and just write it down. I highly, highly recommend it. In addition, during our stay there was a power outage in the town. The staff were very accommodating and agreed to cancel the extra night we had booked (even though it wasn’t their fault at all) and helped us arrange a taxi to our next destination. We truly hope we’ll be able to return again in the future!

The accommodation provides a shared kitchen and a housekeeping service for guests. We booked the 2 persons suite at Manglare. We had a spacious room and a beautiful bathroom, which was open and gave a really tropical experience. There was a shared kitchen outside that you can use if you’re staying in Manglare, also a possibility to put your food/drinks in the fridge. The location is very calm and like a 5 min walk to the beach. El paredon is quite busy and there are some parties, but in Manglare it’s very calm. We liked it. Extra thing is that it is close to the mangroves, where you can rent some kayaks for example. At the end of our stay, we forgot some stuff that was still drying outside. We took contact with Manglare and they immediately were very helpful: they searched for a way to sent us our belongings by express delivery to our next hotel in Flores. Thanks for this service. Highly recommend it!
