They also explained the route to the volcano without a guide very well, even though they provide a guiding service themselves.

There is free private parking and the property features paid airport shuttle service. The bungalows are lovely and secluded staring out into the jungle. The staff are AMAZING. I got sick during our jungle trek and had to get out through a fairly dodgy route and the staff all came together to help me get out. The hotel booked me a different hotel as the jungle guide was booked for the night I was on a trek and brought me tea and medication to help. The next day, they transferred me back to the hotel. All of the employees are absolutely lovely and make the stay well worth it!

Tia was incredibly helpful and the people in general who work for Rambai and within Bukit Lawang are so so lovely. She helped sort us out with a guide to go and see the Oragutans and we managed to see 8 of them in one day. The guides are knowledgeable, interesting and passionate giving a wonderful overall experience. The food was exceptional and Tia is a phenomenal cook, always providing us with delicious fresh fruit afterwards. The location was exceptional, right on the edge of the National Park and with the roaring sound of the river outside, it was big, clean and comfortable. When we arrived we were greeted by Thomas Leaf monkeys on our porch, it was truly magical and I would recommend this place in a heart beat.

Virtually a private beach. We had brilliant snorkeling. Would have stayed another 2 nights, but they were booked out. We had rental scooter so could go out and about and they hire one if needed. Wonderful small guesthouse with very private villas and view from every villa straight out to the ocean. Each with private balcony, and loungers on coastline for each villa. I recently stayed alone at “Mila Homestay.” From the moment I arrived, I experienced the extraordinary hospitality of the homestay's owner and manager, Dila and her husband, Michel. I arrived rather late that day, because my flight from Jakarta was delayed. I was immediately offered a complimentary dinner with martabak, which of course I gladly accepted. The room I stayed in was not very large, but comfortable with good air conditioning, stable and strong wifi, and a bathroom with hot water. Mila Homestay is located a bit on the outskirts of Padang, but that didn't matter because it was actually enjoyable to take a morning walk in the rice fields and local villages behind the homestay. I will definitely stay at Mila Homestay again if next time I go to Padang!

The accommodation offers a 24-hour front desk, airport transfers, room service and free WiFi. The family room was spacious and aircon runs cold. Although there isn't hot water for shower, the staff brought us buckets of hot water each day, and that was adequate to bathe my child. They also arranged the jungle trek for us, we were able to trek directly from the guest house. It's also located very close to the bat cave, 10-mins walk and we highly recommend visiting these caves, and with a local guide hired at the entrance. Without the guide we wouldn't have known where to go.

The villa provides a restaurant serving American cuisine, as well as free WiFi throughout the property. We had a fantastic time with Sumatra Orangutan Trek. Everything was well organized from start to finish. The jungle trek was unforgettable. We saw several orangutans, gibbons, and other monkeys. The guides were knowledgeable and clearly passionate about the environment, always respectful of the wildlife. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and helpful, making us feel at home right away. The accommodation was clean and comfortable. A perfect way to experience the jungle in a responsible and memorable way.

The owner was very friendly and helpful with organising transportation and our trip to Siberut to stay with the Mentawai Tribe (highly recommend this, if you're looking for an adventure off the beaten track). Everything looked exactly like in the pictures, the view is fantastic and the location just outside Padang means you can reach everything within 10-15 minutes by car/motorbike, but it's still quiet and a good place to relax and plan your trip. The food prepared by the owner tastes fantastic and is reasonably priced. All in all, we felt very well looked after and would definitely visit again.

I just got back from a 2 night , 3 day trip that I booked with Jhony. I found the trip to be a fantastic experience! We were lucky enough to see 14 Orangutans in the wild , including a large male and a couple of mothers with their babies. Also various other big troops of monkeys, monitor lizards and many varieties of birds. I have not seen so much wildlife in one place during many previous treks over the world 😍 Jhony is a great guide and is very passionate about the conservation of the jungle.His assistant, the young Lana also really looked after us and will make a great guide in the future, for sure. We were provided with all the food we could eat which was local and delicious, and to stay in the jungle at two different camps with all of the wildlife surrounding was an unforgettable experience. Highly recommended
