Located just down the road from the National Park so it's the most perfect resting spot either before or after a Safari. You cannot really describe the tranquility and peaceful ambiance of this hotel, it is incredible! The rooms are immaculately clean, really comfortable and well presented. The owners went above and beyond to make our stay wonderful and were so kind and friendly to both us and our children. The hotel has a fantastic pool which is the perfect place to cool off in the afternoon. The food is some of the best that we have tasted whilst travelling Sri Lanka, completely delicious and freshly cooked dinner and breakfast. The value for money is excellent and you get the feel of high end at a really reasonable price. I'd say that this hotel is a must stay whilst visiting this area. We plan to return on our next trip. You can really tell how much effort they put into making everything just right. It felt so cozy and welcoming. The garden outside was lovely—well-kept, peaceful, and such a nice place to relax. And the food… wow! The meals cooked by Leel’s mom and his wife were the best we’ve had in Sri Lanka. Everything was so fresh and delicious. Thank you both for making every meal so special! We also did the sunrise safari with Leel, and it was incredible🌅 He’s so professional and knows the park so good. He explained everything so calmly and made sure we didn’t miss anything. Janik and his mother Schwarna are lovely people who really care about their guests. Nothing is too much trouble and we were very grateful to Janik for arranging transport to and from Amba Kola for us. Schwarna is a talented cook and we really enjoyed her cookery class - and of course eating the delicious Sri Lankan food she taught us to make! We also particularly appreciated the large comfortable bed and superb pillows!

This place was absolutely amazing! The location couldn’t have been better. Right by the Safari entrance, and within minutes of arriving, we saw an elephant just across the road. It was such a cool experience. The facilities were top-notch and really well maintained. The pool was actually the perfect temperature, which is rare for hotels since they’re usually too cold. There’s also a restaurant on-site with a great selection of food. We highly recommend the Kothu! Plus, there’s a convenience store right next door in case you need any extra supplies. The rooms were beautiful with modern bathrooms, great hot water, and a lovely balcony view where we got to watch the sunset. What really made our stay special was the staff. The manager went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of, treating us like VIPs. The rest of the staff was just as helpful and friendly. Highly recommend this place if you’re visiting the area. We’d love to come back!
