A wonderful stay in a lovely family-run place. It was amazing waking up to the birds chirping and the river flowing. The staff was super sweet and did everything to make us comfortable. The room is spacious and the chairs outside are perfect for being in nature. The bed is comfortable and the shower was good too (different settings on the shower head, so you can change the pressure) There are also lots of places to sit outside and just chill out. Their cooking staff is amazing, super sweet. They made delicious food for breakfast & supper, and we really enjoyed everything!

The place was amazing on the cliff overlooking the Debed canyon. The hosts very very helpful and picked us up with their car as the road up hill is not really for the low cars. The breakfast and the dinner were delicious. Strongly recommend the experience 😊

The views and the quietness of the hotel are unmatched. We had a peaceful stay. The room has all the basic facilities that you would need. Extra blankets were provided. The hotel also arranged a horse riding lesson for us. The cooking and the cleaning staff were very nice. The two young receptionist ladies were also very polite and did everything to make our stay comfortable. From the hotel, you can do various hikes, and we were able to do the Dsegh Trail marked well by HIKEArmenia.

We absolutely adored our stay at Shakyaryan Rancho. We came with a big group of girls, seven total, and stayed for two nights. The location is breathtaking and incredibly peaceful. The houses were clean, private, with beautiful views and luxurious facilities. Of course the dinner and lunch were absolutely amazing. We ordered some of the same dishes on our second night because we loved them so much. The breakfast was one of the best I’ve ever had. They served us so many delicious cheeses, breads, pancakes and eggs, and the absolutely best thing was the preserved figs. They were to die for! About the staff at the ranch I can say that from the moment of our reservation they were accommodating, communicative, friendly and professional. They did absolutely everything to make our stay fun, exciting, relaxing and easy. Thank you so much to Shakaryan! We will absolutely be back!

Great location!! Best in the whole area. Very nice cottage, lovely decorated with taste and attention. The hottub is a great plus! Located about 3km from Alaverdi town center (a 40-minute walk), Iris Guesthouse is accessible by marshrutka from Tbilisi - just ask the driver to drop you at the guesthouse to save some walking distance. I arrived at 11pm, and was immediately touched by Armenian hospitality - fellow passengers kindly contacted the host and helped translate to arrange my pickup. What a warm welcome to Armenia! Though I'd booked a dorm bed, the host upgraded me to a private room with bathroom since I was the only guest. The room was spotless and even had a charming little balcony. The meals were another highlight! Both dinner and breakfast were generous, featuring homemade jam that was to die for. The dolma was honestly the best I've ever tasted - I still dream about it! Such memorable hospitality - I truly hope to return someday.

Everything was absolutely wonderful! I was truly impressed by what has been created in such a small village and by the effort to develop and promote the area. The food was delicious, and the honey was simply unforgettable. The guest house concept is unique and inspiring, combining comfort with a strong connection to nature and local traditions.
