Fairdene Cottage was perfect. So adorable and comfortable. I was able to visit Balmoral and also the Ballater train station with a replica of Queen Victoria's train carriage. I loved everything about the cottage and its location.

I loved the style, the location, the breakfast that had loads of non-dairy options, the restaurant that offered simple dishes like soup of the day, the food options, the drinks options, the staff, the owners that were lovely, and above all the fact that it’s right by a forest with beautiful walks.

We had a wonderful stay at the Balmoral Arms. Ou room (a junior suite) was beautiful, definitely worth the upgrade as we wanted something a bit special. Everything is clean and seems recently renovated but it hasn't lost its charm. The food was fantastic, we really liked being able to eat in the pub as our dog was allowed to join us there and we liked the atmosphere better than the restaurant area anyway. The staff were kind enough to set up breakfast for us in the lounge every day so our dog could join us there too. When they say they're dog friendly at this place they really mean it! We felt so welcome and thoroughly enjoyed every moment of our stay. We hope to be back some day!

    Absolutely beautiful location. Close to the town of Ballater, yet a rural location with walks from the property. Pet friendly, with a lovely garden for our dog. The added bonus of having use of a charger for our EV on site. The Mill has everything required for a fantastic stay. We have already booked our next stay.

    Everything! This was our second time staying at the tiny houses with my partner and our pet dog. Lovely, tranquil location with everything you need nearby. Lots to do in the area and a great spot for walking. Can't wait to go back again. Hot tub was an added bonus this year with stunning views.

    Great cabins in a great location, very easy for local shops and great location for going hikes in the surrounding areas. Nice and clean with a great television and music player. Friendly staff that said hello and made sure we were happy with the cabin. Nice and quiet at night which was great after a days hike. Lots of information leaflets on the area which is always useful. Being dog friendly with no charge was also a big positive for us!
