Located close 2 mins to Porta Via Giovanni gate to the town and close to the public bus stop over the road outside the city gate. You can get the 130 bus to Poggibonsi-San Gimignano station. To visit likes of Siena or Florence or just start on it to Siena. The hotel is lovely rooms modern and greAt staff and the breakfast room view of the Tuscan landscape is breathtaking. Lots of tourists during the day in the city but many leave by the evening.

The property is in a beautiful setting, with views over the countryside. We were upgraded to a two-bedroom apartment, which was a nice surprise. It was very spacious and comfortable. It was a short drive to San Gimignano and Certaldo where there were some very nice restaurants. We liked having lots of different areas around the grounds with chairs or sun loungers.

We loved everything about this place. So much so that we asked to stay another night! The rooms are small but beautiful, as is the rest of the building. Breakfast was a picnic basket you could take to your room, eat in the lounge area or out on the deck. It had many sweet or savory options. The hotel is in a little village. They have a beautiful garden you can walk through or take a bottle wine to have a sip while overlooking the vineyard. There's an excellent restaurant right across the street, steps away. We had 2 meals there and they were fantastic! Next door to that the winery has a store as well so you can take part in wine tasting so you can get that perfect selection or just sit and have a glass of wine. They also sell olive oil made from their groves. This was definitely one of the highlights of our trip!!

The villa is beautifully located, offering magnificent views of the Tuscan hills, has a cosy beautiful garden. Parking is easy. The room has everything for comfortable stay, spotlessly clean. I’ve honestly never seen such impeccably white sheets and towels Breakfast was excellent, with a good selection and everything tasting delicious. The hospitable owner made us feel very welcome, personally preparing coffee and hot chocolate for our son. If we return to Tuscany, we will definitely stay here again. Highly recommended!

We enjoyed very much our stay at the Antico Borgo Il Cardino; it was above our expectations. The warm, personal touch with eye for details provided by the Family owners of the B&B and the Staff made us feel really welcome and well taken care of with a personal touch. The setting and location are ideal - the B&B is located between Volterra and Siena and really close to San Gimignano - in green surroundings. We loved that the breakfast was served at the private terrace of our room at the preferred time slot and we could choose daily from a large choice of produce. Excellent! The room for 3 was very clean with comfy beds and airco. We also loved the large and well kept swimming-pool and well-equipped area around - very private with beautiful views on the surrounding hills and San Gimignano. The B&B is easy to get to and provides a good private parking area. During Reception opening times you can enjoy the bar serving fresh cocktails and / or local wines, beers prepared by the friendly Niccolo'. We certainly would like to go back!

    The pool area was beautiful. The location so quiet. The meal and pasta making class incredible. The staff were so polite and helpful - always giving more than required. and the winery dog - adorable. The wines they make are exceptional, the food provided was incredible and there was so so much food. The room was secluded, the bathroom modern and clean, plenty of space. Plenty of choice for outdoor seating areas for relax/eating.

    Everything was excellent. The location of the property is only a 5-minute walk from the gate of San Gimignano. The room was big, very clean and comfortable. In front of our room we had a cozy terrace. The property also has a parking lot. The hosts, Mr. Mauro and his wife, are very kind and helpful people, and the information we received from them was very useful. A pet friendly property. Our dog was also welcomed. We will definitely come back.
