Beautiful and well-maintained area. From the terrace there is a magnificent view of the rice fields. Clean and spacious apartments. Very nice and welcoming hosts who can prepare a delicious breakfast and book a safari for you.

The place is absolutely amazing, the rooms are really comfortable with a really good lavender smell. Having a tasty breakfast with nature sounds and talking with the friendly staff was great. Very close walk to Sigiriya’s Lion Rock Totally recommend if you ever come here

This place was so lovely - definitely the nicest on our travels through Sri Lanka. We loved how spacious the rooms were, and spending some time around the pool was an added perk on a hot day! Would stay here again.

The property was lovely and serene. Kalahara, the host, was just exceptional. He does not overlook a single detail and he is gracious and willing to share excellent suggestions with you. I loved that he walked me through his garden, pointing out all of the unique trees and plants he has.

The hospitality of the kind family that runs this. Room size, beautiful surroundings, breakfast, airconditioning that we could add, and the tours we did with Jeewa. Kids loved playing in the garden, on the big rock in front of the guesthouse and of course with they friend: daughter Oleena. Good value/money. Cannot recommend this enough! Hungry Lion has a great vibe and is a nice place to relax. The staff are incredibly helpful and friendly, assisting us with managing our time between activities during our stay. The breakfast was excellent, with generous portions that set us up perfectly for the day. Highly recommended!
